I've just finished a roof terrace in Hoxton Square. When I arrived it was just an area of weather-proofed roof. The owner had recently done up the house and this was the rather grim view from his bedroom. Although the area didn't have permissions for use he wanted to be able to look out of his bedroom onto a nice view.
Using leftover scaffold boards from the build and making the most of the government's leniency regarding green roof systems we came up with a meadow planted, colourful, eco roof terrace. The turf was taken directly from a meadow in Wales and in time will grow into a wild flower roof terrace.
